relatively quiet here … this weekend has kind of sucked in terms of the weather. for the majority of saturday it was just cold and windy, but by about 5 pm mother nature decided to pour a mixture of frozen rain, snow, and more wind into the mix. needless to say driving was horrendous that evening. most of the snow and sleet had been picked up by the morning but it was still pretty crappy out. right on the verge of freezing so if you weren’t paying attention - you might end up trying to hit your brakes while on a large piece of ice.

had a slight power outage saturday evening as well. didn’t realize i needed to completely re-start all of my connection devices to allow my computer to be able to get back online. once i did that, all was well.

can’t think of much else to say, i got a really bad headache, & it’s getting late & i need to get to bed … talk to ya all later

in looking at the title, one would probably think this is gonna be a bad post, well - kinda - i guess.  this weekend i was working on my computer & noticed that when i was closing it, the latches weren’t catching.  actually - they will catch, but not consistantly.  some of the times it will latch & pop right open.  the latches just aren’t securing to the base as tightly as they should.  so what does that mean ??? well it means there is a good chance im gonna to have to send it out to be repaired, which could take about a week (or more) till i receive it back.  the unit itself is working great, i just dont want to chance more problems happening by neglecting this one thing.  i’m hoping to find out by this weekend what the verdict is gonna be.

things have kind of mellowed out on the weather front up here in chicago.  that is till today.  for the majority of the past 2 days there has been a constant streaming of snow fall.  by where i live is not as bad as towns up north.  they seemed to have got almost 2-3 times the amout.  on top of that, for whatever reason, there are virtually no snowplows on the road.  on the highway i saw a few, but on the roads leading to my house - i’d be suprised if any have come by.  it kinda reminds me of kids that won’t eat their dinner, but will play with it enought so as to look like they’ve been eating it.  thats what the streets to my house look like, like repositioned mashed potatoes.  a usual drive home takes about 30 minutes, today … an hour and a half.  it’s still much better than november 2005.  one evening it took me 3 hours & 45 minutes to get home on a drive that would normally take me 45 minutes.  ugh ….  looks like tomorrow & thursday its only gonna get worse.  good times.
