What is your daily commute like? What is the weirdest thing you've seen on that commute?

daily commute, huh ... well, on a good day it usually takes me about 35-40 minutes to get to work. 95% of which is highway. ya see, i live directly off the highway, and my job is about the same distance from the highway, but about 19 miles north. most of the time i'm listening to a variety of podcasts i have loaded on my iPod. during the summer the drive goes by pretty quick cause there's usually not much traffic. winter, on the other hand varies. it could be anywhere from 40-45 minutes, to 2 hours, depending on the weather and traffic.
i haven't seen anything weird, at least nothing that stands out.
people are pretty crazy out here behind the wheel. some zip around like they are the only ones on the road, others are constantly driving around 15 mph below the speed limit, which in my eyes is just as dangerous. most of the commuters though are pretty cool.
driving is one of my least favorite activities, unfortunately it seems like it's the thing i do the most.

What time is your alarm clock set for ? Do you use the snooze button ?
my alarm clock is usually set for 4:15am. i have it set 15 minutes early though, so actually it goes off at 4:00am. it doesn't really matter though cause i will more often than not sleep through it for an hour or so ... and from that point i'll hit the snooze till i absolutely have to start getting ready.
i don't mind getting up early, i actually kind of like it. i tend to appreciate it a bit more than most, i think, because of the 2nd shift hours i was working at my old printing job. i think its good to wake up in natural light. having it throughout the day has made a major difference in how i feel about life. those hours really messed with me. and even though i was working with a kick ass supervisor, the hours i worked had brought me down a path i hope i never have to ever travel again.
