im not sure if any of you that are using wordpress ran into any problems last night, but ran into something that i though was kind of strange. after i had entered my login information, i was brought to my dashboard. the difference though was that this time i was not given an option to create a new post - instead, there was a link that stated “claim blog”. so i clicked on the link, which had the first part of my wordpress address in an open box - allowing me to change the address if i deemed to do so. i deemed not to. so i clicked on the create blog button on the bottom of the page, with the webcramp part of the address included. the page that loaded was virtually the same page as before, except this one had a paragraph stating that my blog didnt exist … ??? what i find funny and frustrating about this all together is the fact that it is allowing me to login to my account, an account that they are telling me doesn’t exist - but yet when i try to create it, its telling me that that account name is already taken - omg - that makes no f’n sense.
in other news … i was listening to one of my favorite podcasts “The Rock and Roll Geek Show” - episode #236, and was suprised to find that the host had done an interview with Holly Vincent. for those of you who are not very familiar with her, she had released an album Holly & the Italians in the early 80’s called “right to be italian”, the next was Holly Beth Vincent - Holly & the Italians. i think that one was more like the mid to late 80’s. the next band & album was The Oblivious - which i think is from the early 90’s. but the one that i am most aware of Holly from was a colaboration she had with Johnette from concrete blonde which was called Vowel Movement. before hearing the interview that Michael Butler had with Holly - i never really listened much to the vowel movement cd i have. after hearing it though, i plan on digging it out from under the piles of cd’s i have, to give it another listen. i was really interested in hearing what she was saying about her early years in the biz, and the newest album that she has out called Super Rocket Star. good job michael, another fine episode of the rnr geek show.
