getting older isn't all it's cracked up to be.
i have a tendency to reflect ... alot.
i really need to work on that.
makes me feel like the guy that says ...
"when i was younger" or "i remember when".
im not that old yet ...
am i ?
...
it's friday evening.
outside it's storming pretty good.
i haven't seen or heard a storm this brutal in a long, long time. i tend to be a very heavy sleeper, and most of the time will sleep through anything as long as i get my mandatory 6 hours of sleep. this time the rain didn't come in the wee hours of the morning, it came early. so early in fact i almost made it home from work before seeing some drops of water accumulate on my windshield. almost. it didn't get bad till i was inside for about an hour. while sitting in the traditional spot on my love seat, with my laptop resting on my legs, i began to hear winds so severe i thought the double glass window pane right behind me was, in mere seconds, going to implode into my condo.
but i didn't bother moving.
if it was going to shatter upon me, then so be it. at that point i honestly could care a less.
earlier today i was given some news by a friend of mine. while i'm not going to discuss the contents of the conversation i will say i've been emotionally numb since hearing it. my friend is going through a really hard time and needed someone to talk to. as always, i was there, and i will always be there ... no question. this, in and of itself is a good quality. i am loyal to the people i love and care about. but sometimes its to a fault. i will overlook my own feelings to make things easier for others. but this time its different.
it just is.
...
im still here ...
just busy is all ...
i've recorded episode 9 approximately 5 times now, but still have nothing to show for it. things are in the works. what i need to do is just record live and say "F**K IT !!!" to editing altogether, which i am in the midst of attempting. below is the most recent attempt at a show.

The 1st official episode of The Ear Bud Lounge is finally here. We run across a few audio issues. Numerous restarts caused by G’s dog deciding to eat right when we started, the other issue noticed after playing back the show to review, but nothing bad enough to keep us from releasing it. 80% more structure, as well as 2 great songs from the Podsafe Music Network. There’s even a teaser for episode 2.
