i've really been toying with the idea of using Wordpress for my podcast site. well, in actuality i am, but its the free version that has limited customization possibilities. i mean, it does work for what im doing with it ... i guess im just looking to get more experience with web design and i think this would be a good route for me to take to get that. i've always had an interest in web design, i just never to the initiative to really get involved with it.
i came across yet another "blogging/networking" site the other day called Uber. for the most part it seems like a cool site, much like Vox, that enables you to post audio, video, and photos, as well as maintain a blog if you would like. i've played abound with it a little over the past day or so, but have yet to really set-up anything permanent there. i sort of like the interface vox uses a little better. it seems more user friendly. the one thing that the Uber site has that may lure people there is the customization it allows. you can adjust virtually everything from the layout to the background and all the way to setting the style and size of the text you want, if that's your thing. for someone just getting into the social networking world that would like more a customizable experience, i think Uber would be a good chioce. but for those who want to worry more about the content of their site rather that being able to "trick it out", i would go with Vox.
thats all i got for now.
