Coolest Audio Idea Ever ... Period
prior to the whole digital media, mp3 player craze that happened in the mid 90's (possibly even sooner, as im not exactly sure of the dates), alot of the ways that people would share music was by creating "mixtapes". for those of you who do not know what a mixtape is, it's a blank cassette filled with songs you hand pick for whatever mood your trying to create. i had made so many of these things, i wouldn't even know where to start listing them off. i had got so into it i was actually making separate volumes of the same themed mixtape. i went a little nuts with it i guess, but i had fun making them.
obviously cassettes are not in as high of a demand as they once were, now with mp3 players being as popular as they are. and with mp3 players you can create playlists, which i guess could be viewed as a digital mixtape ... but its just not the same.
this afternoon i was surfin the net, not really looking for anything specific, and ended up running across this ...
its basically a memory stick set in a cassette case that your able to write all your liner notes, just as if this was an actual cassette jewel case. how cool is that ??? i need to check out if there's any stores in the area here that i'd be able to pick a few of these up, if not, i think you can just order them from here.
